This article describes how to remove a SCSI Controller from a Cloud Sever

Prerequisites:

  1. User has Primary Administrator or Server Role
  2. The Server must be in a STOPPED state
  3. Server CANNOT be a Source Server or Target Server in a DRS Consistency Group
  4. There can not be any storage disks deployed on the SCSI Controller you want to delete. See How to Remove Local Storage from a Cloud Server
  5. You cannot remove a SCSI Controller from a Cloud Server if the Server is in Snapshot Preview. You must first migrate the Snapshot Preview Server to a Normal Server. See Introduction to Cloud Server Snapshot Feature 

Content / Solution:

  1. From the Home page, select the Data Center where the Cloud Server from which you want to remove a SCSI Controller is located:


  2. The Data Center dashboard will be displayed. Click on the Network Domain where the Cloud Server from which you want to remove a SCSI Controller is located:


  3. The Network Domain Dashboard will be will be displayed. Click on the Server from which you want to remove a SCSI Controller:

     

  4. The Server dashboard will be displayed. Click the Storage tab:

     

  5. Locate the SCSI Controller you want to remove from the list of Controllers in the Storage tab. Click on the Manage gear next to the SCSI Controller, and select Remove SCSI Controller from the drop-down menu:

     

  6. The system will display the Remove SCSI Controller confirmation dialog. Click Remove:


  7. The system will display a message indicating that the operation is in progress:

     

  8. The system will display the progress of the operation in the Status section of the Server dashboard:

     

  9. Once complete, the system will display a success message:

     

  10. The SCSI Controller will be removed. The changes will be reflected in the Storage tab, and the Server Details tab will be updated:
