Description

Describes how to manage a VIP on a Cloud Network. These tasks include:

Prerequisites:

  1. User must be Primary Administrator or have the Network role assigned
  2. Must already have a VIP deployed. See How to Create a VIP on a Cloud Network in a MCP 1.0 Data Center Location

Content / Solution:

  1. From the Home page, select the MCP 1.0 Data Center where the Network on which you want to add a VIP is located:


  2. The Data Center dashboard will be displayed. Select the Network on which you want to manage a VIP:


  3. The Network dashboard will be displayed. Click on the Load Balancing / Virtual IPs tab, then click on the Actions button and select Edit VIP from the dropdown menu:


  4.  The Edit VIP dialog will be displayed:

    Note: The Name, IP Address, and Port of the VIP can not be edited. You must delete the VIP and create a new one. See How to Create a VIP on a Cloud Network in a MCP 1.0 Data Center Location

Change the In Service/Out of Service Status of a VIP

  1. Click on the Status dropdown menu and select the desired status for the VIP:


  2. Click Save to commit the change. The system will display a success message:

     

  3. The UI will be updated to reflect the change:

Change the ICMP Reply status of a VIP

  1. Click on the ICMP Reply dropdown menu and select the desired option for the VIP:


  2. Click Save to commit the change. The system will display a success message:
     

Delete a VIP

  1. From the Network dashboard, click on the Load Balancing / Virtual IPs tab, then click on the Actions button and select Delete VIP from the dropdown menu:


  2. The Delete VIP dialog will be displayed. Click Delete:


  3. The system will display a success message:

     

  4. The VIP will be deleted and the UI will be updated to reflect the change:
