This article explains how to import bulk Port Lists from a .csv file

- This article applies only to MCP 2.0 Data Center locations.
- Only the Primary Administrator or a Sub-Admin with the Network role can import Port Lists to a Network Domain.
- This article assumes you understand the behavior of Port Lists in an MCP 2.0 Data Center location. For details on this behavior, see: Introduction to Firewall IP Address and Port Lists
- The name of the Bulk Port List must be unique.
Content / Solution:
From the Home page, select the Data Center where the Network Domain into which you want to import a Port List is deployed:
The Data Center dashboard will be displayed. Select the Network Domain into which you want to import a Port List:
The Network Domain dashboard will be displayed. Click on the Firewall Rules tab:
Click on the Actions menu and select Import Port List from the drop-down menu:
The Import Port Lists dialog will be displayed:
Click on the Browse button to find the desired Port List .csv file on your local computer. Once you have selected the correct file, click Open:
The Import Port Lists dialog will be displayed, and the Port List will be populated into the dialog. Click on the Add Port List button to begin the import of the Port List policy:
The system will begin to import the Port List. The progress of the operation will be displayed in the Import Port Lists dialog:
Note: Pressing the escape key on your keyboard while the .csv file is importing will close the Import dialog, but the operation will continue to run in the background.
Once complete, The Import Port Lists dialog will display which Port Lists were successfully imported , and which failed :
Note: Any Port Lists that currently exist on the Network Domain will fail to import. You should review the results for any failed Port Lists that you want to import. If you discover any Port Lists that you want to import, click the Download Failed Rules button. The system will download only the failed Port Lists into another .csv file titled "failed_list.csv", which you can then import again.
Note: To avoid having existing Port Lists fail to import, you can edit the .csv file prior to importing to remove them.
Once you are satisfied that the all desired Port Lists have been imported, click the Done button to close the Import Port Lists dialog:Note: You can now edit the Port List to make any necessary changes. See How to View and Manage Firewall Port Lists on a Network Domain
