Description
This article describes how to add Cloud Monitoring to a Server.
Prerequisites:
For MCP 1.0
- Must be Primary Administrator or have the Server role assigned.
- Cloud Monitoring must be enabled for the data center. See How do I Identify Hardware Specifications and Capabilities Available in a Data Center Location
- Must have deployed at least one Network. See How to Deploy a MCP 1.0 Cloud Network or a MCP 2.0 Network Domain
- Must have deployed at least one Cloud Server. See How to Deploy a Cloud Server from a Guest OS Customization Image
- You cannot enable Cloud Monitoring for a Server that is in a state which requires it to be restarted. See the "Adding and Managing Disks" section of Introduction to Cloud Server Local Storage ("Disks") and Disk Speeds
For MCP 2.0
- Must be Primary Administrator or have the Server role assigned.

- Must have deployed at least one VLAN. See How to Deploy a VLAN on a Network Domain
- Must have deployed at least one Server. See How to Deploy a Cloud Server from a Guest OS Customization Image
- You cannot enable Cloud Monitoring for a Server if the Server is in Snapshot Preview. You must first migrate the Snapshot Preview Server to a Normal Server. See Introduction to Cloud Server Snapshot Feature
- You cannot enable Cloud Monitoring for a Server that is in a state which requires it to be restarted. See the "Adding and Managing Disks" section of Introduction to Cloud Server Local Storage ("Disks") and Disk Speeds
