Description

This article explains how to delete a Virtual Listener from a Network Domain in an MCP 2.0 Data Center location.

Prerequisites:

  1. Data Center must not be in Network Maintenance.
  2. Only the Primary Administrator or a User with the Network role can delete Virtual Listeners.
  3. Network Domain must be 'Advanced'. This functionality is not supported on 'Essentials' Network Domains. 

Content / Solution:

  1. From the Home page, select the MCP 2.0 Data Center where the Network Domain from which you want to delete a Virtual Listener is located:


  2. The Data Center dashboard will be displayed. Select the Advanced Network Domain where you want to delete the Virtual Listener:



  3. The Network Domain dashboard will be displayed. Select the Load Balancing / Virtual IPs tab, then click on the Manage gear for the Virtual Listener you want to delete from the dropdown menu and select Delete Virtual Listener:


  4. The Delete Virtual Listener dialog will be displayed. Click Delete:

     

  5. The system will display a success message:

     

  6. The Virtual Listener will be deleted and the UI will be updated to reflect the change:
     

    Note: Any Nodes or Pools that were associated with the Virtual Listener will be released. If they are not associated with any other elements, they will appear in the 'Unassigned Pools', or 'Unassigned Nodes' folders, respectively.
