Description

This page serves as a repository for instructions on how to remove Customer assets.

Once all the assets are deleted from each Customer, you may Cancel the Customer by logging in to the Vendor UI and following the instructions at How do I Cancel a Customer?

Note: Instructions for removing assets in the CloudControl UI are available at: CloudControl Documentation

Prior to canceling an account, you will need to delete all of the assets that are associated with the account.

These Assets are independent of anything else:

  • Sub-Administrators
  • Server Images (Client Images)

For MCP 2.0:

  • Anti-Affinity Rule
  • Consistency Group
  • VLAN Security Group
  • Server Security Group
  • Cloud Server
    • Powered Off
    • Remove Cloud Backup if enabled
    • Remove Cloud Monitoring if enabled
    • Disable Cloud Server Snapshots
  • NAT Rule
  • Virtual Listener
  • Pool
  • Node
  • Additional Public IP Block
  • VLAN
  • Cloud Network Domains

Deleting these assets requires logging into the Customer Admin UI (not the Vendor UI used for Suspend/Cancel) separately and deleting the assets deployed in each enabled Geographic Region using the customer credentials that were assigned in the Suspend CaaS Account process.

Note that a given account may not have all of these assets, in which case they are simply listed here for your reference. This section assumes you are generally familiar with the use of the Cloud Admin UI, but provides links to the specific articles describing the removal of each asset.

Due to the interdependency of the various components that make up a CaaS solution, it is recommended that you remove these assets in the order in which they are listed.  In several cases, one asset must be disabled or removed before a dependent asset can be deleted.  These dependencies are listed in the pre-requisites section of each Community article.

Note: If you attempt to remove an asset that has a dependency, the UI will display an error message indicating which asset needs to be removed.

Prerequisites:

  1. Customer account must be suspended
  2. To remove Customer assets, you must log in to the Customer account with a user that has sufficient role permissions to view/remove all assets. We suggest you login using the Primary Administrator account.
  3. The Password will be set upon suspension. We recommend you save the password that is set upon suspension for future use.
